Artist Bio

Lauren Ball is a New York City–based painter, educator, and writer. She received an MFA in Studio Art from New York University, a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and an MAT in Art Education from Columbia College Chicago. She studied at the Tyler School of Art in Rome and the Ox-Bow School of Art in Saugatuck, Michigan.

Her work has been exhibited at Zürcher Gallery, Monica King Projects, 80WSE Gallery, Intersect Aspen, the Illinois State Museum, and other venues, and has been featured in The New York Times, Artnet, and NewCity Art. Ball has taught, presented her work, and served as a visiting artist at New York University, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago Alumni Association, Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Roosevelt University, the College of DuPage, and Marymount Manhattan College. She received a NYFA Artist Fellowship, the Martin Wong Scholarship, and the Ox-Bow Fursman Scholarship. Ball lives and works in Manhattan.
